It looks awesome! I am so proud of it! Chet (still home sick from school) is showing it fully open and the cover can also be a game board! Our principal, Jean Brassfield, designed our custom cover. The whole book turned out so much better than I imagine. I have to say though it's a little odd to have such a concrete representation of 200 hours of my life! Don't know when we'll distribute yet, but it's nice to have them here!

How Time Flies
What is it about this guy that makes time pass so quickly? I cannot tell you how many hours I have lost in the last three weeks! There are days when I've just finished breakfast and got the kids off to school and then I turn around and it's 4 o'clock! There's been a lot of hanging out and doing things around the house. Hanging blinds, fixing trash cans, making dinner, plant trees, you get the idea. All that wonderful everyday normal stuff that makes life Life. I just can't believe how quickly Life passes. I don't think I've even talked to my parents in a week! Not for any particular reason, I just realized today that it's been THAT long! (Sorry, Mom & Dad!) But that's what this guy does. He comes in and makes time seem to fly. I guess that partially explains how we've known each other since we were teenagers and it's hard to believe over 20 years has passed. Hard to believe. Not complaining, just observing....and enjoying every minute that I've got...

Also, one of those little things he's been doing is experimenting with his Canon and he even took some shots of me! How unusual for me! So, my picture of the day for yesterday is a picture of me:
Thanks, Honey! I love you!

Happy Easter! (and the day after...)
We had fun making these "camo" eggs! I've never seen black easter eggs before, but they turned out pretty cool!
We had our egg hunt in the morning and the boys managed to find all 44 eggs with not much help at all! They loved hunting for the eggs so much so that when they talked to their Grandpa, Ethan told him we were having Easter again next week and that they would be hunting eggs again then! Gotta love the kid's optimism!
Each of the boys got Legos in their baskets! (I love Legos!) Ethan got a Power Miner set. (The attachment on the front moves when the tractor moves. It's pretty cool!) This was the first set that Ethan built by himself. I read the instructions to him, but he put it together himself!
Chet got a "Secret Agent" set. It had a cool spy snowmobile and a guy with a helicopter pack!
They were so sweet! They put together their Lego sets before they hunted for eggs. Then, this morning before they left for school, Chet said to me, "Thank you for a nice Easter, Mom." It was so sweet. I am such a lucky momma!
This was the first year in several years that Big Chet was home for Easter. While we each had a touch of food poisoning and didn't make it to church, it was nice to be able to have a nice quiet holiday all together. We are truly appreciative for any time we have together. So, I hope your Easter was nice and that you enjoy all the blessing the Lord has given you!

It's been a while
Yes, it's been a while since I've posted. Yes, I know saying I've been busy seems like just another excuse, but I have some photographic proof of said busyness! Since my last post:
These people came to visit:
These people came to visit:
Mom aka Grandma
(House count: 6)
We (and about a 1/2 million other people) went here
and here....with these people...
"Deer in the headlights!"
(The Red River between Texas & Oklahoma)
(Lucky for my sister I don't think Andy was all that interested yet, but just you wait...yours is coming....)
We had this installed:
We had this installed:
(A storm shelter, to guarantee that we will never see a tornado now that we've forked over the bucks!)
(My brother-in-law, Billy! House count up to: 7)
(And in another aside, this was a no-look photo! Just pointed the camera in Billy's direction!)
(Honestly, snow? On March 28th? Come on, people!)
Then this guy arrived!:
(BEST. BIRTHDAY. PRESENT. EVER.)
(House count up to: 8!)
We took this photo:
(Before 4 of the 8 went back to California!)
This kid researched and gave a time capsule presentation on the 1920's:
(Did you know that Band-aids, Kool-aid and Q-tips were invented in the 20's and the first jars of commercially available peanut butter made the peanut butter and jelly sandwich very popular in the 20's? )
This kid started learning how to ride a bike without training wheels:
(Straightaways are good, just don't ask him to turn just yet! Luckily, he's perfected his "tuck-n-roll" move so he doesn't drive straight in to the pond!)
This kid and I went on a field trip to here:
(The Philbrook Museum of Art)
AND Spring arrived here:
(Now, I don't think I had a personal hand in making Spring come but I sure did spend a lot of time wishing it would hurry up and get here!)
So, perhaps all of that (and the many other things I've done over the last three weeks) doesn't excuse me from updating all you on my blog, but, at least now, you have a better idea of what I've been doing while I've been ignoring by blog duties!
So, Happy Easter to all and I should manage to get some Easter pics up tomorrow! (or the next day....) ;)
