Legos, Flip Flops & other surprises

So, I was looking around some of my favorite blogs tonight and Cathy Zielske (scrapbooker/graphic designer extraordinaire http://cathyzielske.typepad.com/) posted some pics of some of the fun stuff her son does with Legos (The Body Shop is hilarious!) and a link to A Lego A Day (legomyphoto.wordpress.com). Anyway, I showed Chet & Ethan and within in minutes the legos were out and they were filming a movie, now entitled: "Do You Take This Wookie to Be Your Wife?" Since I don't know how to post video yet (yes, Honey, I promise I will figure it out one day, maybe in April?), I took a pic for all to see. No worries, I will be holding on to the video for the future wedding rehearsal dinners! Also today, I wore my flips flops in protest of the snow and sleet this morning! (That and it was the last day to get a pedicure before the kids are home for Spring Break!)

And after being gone all day, when we drove up the driveway look who was checking out the pond! We've never had ducks before, I hope they stick around. I'm sure they're looking for a good nesting place! Hope they like the neighborhood! They didn't seem the least bit bothered by us, so we'll see. It would be fun to watch baby ducklings this Spring!
Happy Spring Break, Everyone!

Things that made me happy today

My flowering weeping willow tree that we planted last spring is blooming! We were afraid that it was dead, but here comes Spring and Life finds a way! I have to say I am so much more appreciative of Spring since living out here!

This is the obligatory attempt at an "artistic" shot, but I can't figure how to flip the photo here in the blog layout. Enjoy it anyway!

Now, these cute little purple flowers are technically weeds, but honestly, after months of dead brown even weeds are looking nice!

These the trees blooming on our neighbors driveway. It's hard to see here, but some of them are already turning green! I also have to say that it's been pretty gray here and while it's nice to see the color coming, I will be more happy when the blue sky and yellow sun decide to hang out for a while! I am a California girl and this girl needs some sunshine!
And last, but not least, here's the paper I'm using in my next scrapbooking class I'm putting together!:

Yes, that my friends is Kelli (with an "i") Green! Please note that it is brighter and more cheerful than regular Kelly (with a "y") Green. (No offense, to any Kelly's out there but we all know there's a difference! Ha!)
Happy Spring to all!

Quote of the day

"You're never completely ready, it just becomes your turn."
-Ty Murray, Pro Bull Rider, explaining how dancing on Dancing with the Stars is like riding a bull!

So good, I had to write it down before I forgot it! Now, I have to go hurry up and vote!

Virtual Pilot

This Luftansa game is pretty fun and quite a challenge! See how well you know your European geography!

Chet's prayer

Chet's prayer tonight: "Dear God, Thank you for Mommy, Daddy, Ethan and Bo....and help everyone laugh at my jokes! Amen!"
Aww, Poppa will be so proud!
